CITY OF MISSISSAUGA POLICIES
This policy provides the framework for compliance with requirements which establish the accessibility standards pertaining to information and communications, employment, transportation and the built environment (design of public spaces), as well as additional general requirements that the City must comply with.
ARENA ICE ALLOCATION
This policy outlines the standards and priorities for allocation of arena ice for each type of user group to meet the needs of Mississauga residents and to ensure effective and best use of city arena facilities.
COMMUNITY GRANT ADMINISTRATION
City of Mississauga community grants may be available to Mississauga based, not-for-profit volunteer community groups to deliver programs, services, complete special projects or to support an organization’s recreational goal. This policy outlines broad eligibility criteria including types of grants, funding streams and the general payment terms.
COMMUNITY GROUP SUPPORT PROGRAM
The Community Group Support Program assists not-for-profit community groups by providing access in a fair and just manner.
The City develops meaningful relationships with affiliate and recognized community groups where volunteers deliver arts & culture, recreation & sport, special events, social and leisure activities to Mississauga residents.
COMMUNITY TENNIS CLUBS
The City of Mississauga works in partnership with Community Tennis Clubs and groups to meet residents needs through organized tennis activities.
OUTDOOR SPORTS FIELD MANAGEMENT
The purpose of this Outdoor Sports Field Management policy is to ensure a fair, transparent and equitable allocation process of Mississauga outdoor sports field resources that will maximize facility utilization while preserving and maintaining high quality playing fields through effective management. This policy applies to all sport groups and/or organizations allocated outdoor sports fields operated and maintained by the City of Mississauga.
The objective of the Respectful Workplace policy is to ensure a climate of understanding and mutual respect for the dignity and worth of members of the general public, visitors to City facilities and individuals conducting business with, or performing work on behalf of, the City of Mississauga. Groups including affiliates and volunteers of the City of Mississauga are also required to adhere to the Respectful Workplace Statement of Commitment.
The purpose of this policy is to identify the responsibilities and roles of the City and all employees in the process of reporting and maintaining a workplace free from actual, attempted or threatened Workplace Violence.
